Well, every time I paste a certain video, it gets stuck and goes to (Not Responding) Is there a reason, and if yes, is it fixable? Posted 2 weeks ago # |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9sAT13EcyU&feature=PlayList&p=gmkDte-DREk I checked it one more time right now, and there's no Youtube maintenance, and the video loads/shows up, so there's no error. EDIT: And just in case, I'm using the most recent version, 3.2.2.65 Posted 2 weeks ago # |

I suppose the matter might be in your internet provider. We've just found out that some of them block some traffic types. The problem may be solved by trying to use another preset in the program or (as a last resort) by changing a provider. Anyway first select another preset. Posted 2 weeks ago # |

As I need the MPEG4 from the iPod 5G, there is only one other preset. I tried that too, and it still froze on the 0% and didn't respond. Also, I am unable to use another internet provider right now, so are there any other options? EDIT: Also, strangely,(not so much) other online converters also do not work, they say check the URL or something like that Posted 2 weeks ago # |

gamelover777 , unfortunately I can't offer you an acceptable solution of the problem right now, we are trying to find it (as you can see some other users have run into the same situation recently). I hope the next update will work more stable, please wait. As for other our downloaders, I advice you to update the entire Free Studio, it may help or not, in any case try it. Posted 2 weeks ago # |

I have a similar problem... After done downloading, it's not on my desktop, nor anywhere else. I'm using the most recent version of YouTube to iPod, and tried every option there is. It will say Progress 100% Complete, however, the videos aren't anywhere. Help? Posted 2 weeks ago # |

INFECTIOUS, please do the following: 1. go to Start->All programs->DVDVideoSoft->Uninstall 2. manually delete folders (if you have them on your pc): - C:\Program Files\DVDVideoSoft - C:\Program Files\Common Files\DVDVideoSoft 3. download and install the entire Free Studio. Besides I advice you to check whether output path contains not Latin symbols, it may cause the problem. And one more thing: you download right to the Desktop, try to change the output location to My Documents, for instance. Posted 2 weeks ago # |

Hi, i have a problem with the ipod size. I have an iPod classic and when i download and convert videos using the newest update, the video size seems a little too bit for my ipod so i miss some parts of the video. I want to be able to see all of the video. Posted 1 week ago # |

Jay, what do you mean saying "size"? in Mb or in pixels? So do you miss frames or parts of the video image? Posted 1 week ago # |

I mean size as in pixels. It does not fit my ipod screen. With the older version that i had, there were no problems with until a week ago. the older version had the appropriate screen size. The older version that i used for a long time had selections for different ipod screen sizes. There were selections for the iPod classic, iPod Nano, iPod iTouch, but now with the new updated one, i did not see the selections. All i see are Apple Ipod, Apple iPod 5G, etc. I was just wondering if i did not have the right setting or if the newer updated versions do not have the right screen size for different iPods. Jay, in fact Free YouTube to iPod Converter has just 2 presets for Apple iPod device. It's so now because most iPods support original youtube videos and it's better to have source files without any re-conversion. I see the only way in your case, it's not convenient of course: download original youtube clips using Free YouTube Download or Free YouTube to iPod Converter and then convert them for iPod Classic with Free Video to iPod Converter (there are appropriate profiles for your device) Posted 1 week ago # |

to ark99: specify the program version and the preset you select. As I see from you post the problems appears just for a particular file, not for each ones, correct? Posted 3 days ago # |

I think to have understood the problem: sometimes the youtubetoipod converter cannot write the file. For instace, this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LC6frym9NYI Conversion to MP3 appears to be succesful but there is no file in the destination directory. You can see such a message in the log file: Could not open 'C:\Documenti\Podcast\Youtube\ YouTube - Piano B- non finire in carcere .mp3' Convert Success I think the Youtube header is too long and plenty of spaces, and so the filename. I do not know if this is intentional (to avoid conversions), but anyway it can be manageable by the program. In fact, if I change the output name, forcing the program to use a short filename, all goes well: Output #0, mp3, to 'C:\Documenti\Podcast\Youtube\PianoB_NonFinireInCarcere_youtube.mp3': Convert Success The program should fix two aspects: 1) If it cannot write destination file, it must return an error 2) It can manage the name file in order to verify its lenght and avoid too many spaces or other special characters Thanks to DVDVIDEOSOFT!!!! I upgraded from 3.1.4.54 to 3.2.3.66: now conversions on the public Internet are efficient, conversions behind a proxy are much slower than before. First, the program take more than a minute to accept an URL, that is to resolve the name, then it is very very slow to complete the conversion. It seems not a proxy problem, because if I open the same video on IE I can download it in a minute, the conversion last for 30 minutes. The previous release was much quicker, about 10 minutes. Furthermore, if you forget to configure the proxy and paste a link (it happens if you frequently pass from home to company and viceversa) the program stales for minutes before returning available and allowing you to configure it. Could you improve this behaviour? Thanks a lot for your work. Posted 3 days ago # |

granmogol, I must say the program doesn't control downloading speed at all, everything depends on your internet connection Posted 3 days ago # |
