I keep getting this message when i try to convert any youtube video into mp3 format?
iv'e even tested youtube links that i have successfully converted in the past and i still get this same message. this problem only started happening recently (within the last week) when i changed my browser from windows explorer to firefox, now iv'e changed back to windows explorer but, i still get this message regardless.

You should download and install the entire free studio, it must help

hearny, what do you mean? you don't know what program to use to playback downloaded files on pc? on iPod? on DVD player? or what? give me more details please

i have the same problem i downloaded it but it wont let me copy the URL into it i dont understand why

mary, what do you mean? does the program freeze when you click Paste or what? do you get an error message? expand on the problem and I'll attempt to help you.

I have a similar problem.  When I try to paste the youtube URL site into the desgnated space on the mp3 converter, the mp3 converter space says "0%" and nothing happens. This converter used to work, and this never happened before.  I tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling but no change occurred - same "0%" message.  I use windows XP.

It seems the program is blocked by firewall. I advice you to download videos using free online service keepvid.com and convert them to mp3 with Free Video to MP3 Converter.

Or you can just make a rule in your firewall and allow the program to do its job.

I downloaded previous versions, uninstalled, installed, removed left over files, everything, it just doesn't work?
any more things that could solve this?
I really love the program and I have ALLOT of songs I have to download and this is the only, or atleast, best program to work with (:

Lolwut, why do you use the previous version, it gives you this error message. Please download and install the newest one.

The newest one is shite TBH,
It has a new,weird, non-user friendly outlay and use.
The downloads go slower
Each download makes a new map for the one song.
It takes some time to load the URL.
I do not like the new version, and then I saw this ''older version'' topic on the forum so I thought I could use it >_> <_<

Each time I paste a URL it comes up saying it can't the URL. My friend has downloaded it with his, so the video is fine. I have the latest version and have sorted the proxys out. Still won't find the URL...

You are right, some users got the same problem using the newest version - downloading process became longer than earlier. But I must say it happens for some users, not for everybody. We are working on it now, please wait.
As for the error message in youtube programs, it's fixed in the latest update only. So you must choose now - quick downloading and getting the error message or slower process without the bug. But I say it once again: we are trying to solve the problem, it's a temporary inconvenience.
Concerning "Each download makes a new map for the one song.", I don't understand what you mean, could you explain it again?

Yeah , I'm sorry, in my country map means Folder ^^
So for instance, when I download a song and download it to the folder called ''music'', it makes a folder IN the folder music, with the name of the song and all
I also have a problem with the name of my downloaded songs, It gives me the youtube name, even when I seem to have changed it :/
I liked previous version more tbh :(

Lolwut, it's so strange that you get an odd "music" folder, in fact it's not supposed to create it. Do you mean YouTube to MP3 Converter?
As for youtube title, you just set the output file name in the program form. But players like VLC Media Player, iTunes, etc they show youtube title (tag title), not the output file name. So it may seem that the name wasn't changed.

the folder thing isn't there anymore, but if I change the name, and I am on msn, it stills says the youtube title in my personal message instead of the title I gave it

Could you explain step-by-step what you do and what you get? I mean all actions: pressing buttons, changing titles, names, signing in msn, etc), Then I'll repeat all your actions and attempt to get the same error.

but I checked my output folder and  firewall several times. that's no problem. Please help!!!

kim, you should select another folder as an ouput location, My Documents for instance. It seems you don't have rights to create files in the folder you set. Besides it's recommended to use our soft in administrator account.

Allthough the download speed could be a bit better ;)

WHICH LINK DO I PASTE? THE URL AT THE TOP? OR DO I HAVE TO VIEW SOURCE AND FIND A DIFF URL TO PASTE IN THE CONVERTER? THIS SHIT IS PISSING ME OFF KEEPS POPPING UP URL CONTAINS NO VIDEO
