It downloads the videos from youtube just fine,
but when I try to sync the video I downloaded into my itunes,
it won't ! Yet it says that the video is converted into MPEG4 :(

What could be the problem?

First download the latest version of Free Studio here and update iTunes. Select preset "Apple iPod: MP4 - High Quality Video" in the program. Then please inform me about the result.

I did what you told me to do, but still nope :(
The itunes tell me that it's not in the MPEG4 format,
yet when I look at the file on a folder, it reads MPEG4 ..

This is my fourth try downloading different versions of the software :/
Hm, I wonder what's wrong?

Well, all of the youtube links I try has the same results, but here's one of many I try to download: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VntiT0enk4&fmt=18

I think I see where the problem is when I spotted something in itunes:

Here's a screencap of one of my correctly converted video (downloaded with youtube to ipod converter & converted AGAIN with another converter program):

And here's the screencap of my incorrectly converted video (downloaded with youtube to ipod converter ONLY):

See that red circled difference? It's strange, I think the youtube to ipod converter doesn't convert all the way or something :/

I've actually had the same problem :( I've already downloaded the update, and my iPod won't take the video :l I have the fifth generation iPod video by the way. It's really old. Could that be why my iPod can't get it?

1. give me the link to test
2. update your iPod firmware
3. try another way: download video from youtube using Free YouTube Download and then convert it for iPod with Free Video to iPod Converter

Hi, Ally,
could you specify what exactly goes wrong?
Do you receive any error message?
Could you describe step by step what you did and what doesn't want to work now?

I'm having almost the same problem. I downloaded the latest version of the software and Itunes won't accept the video. "This ipod can't play this video" or some message along those lines pops up. I remember using youtube to video converter 3.1.2.3 (atleast that's what it said) and I didn't have a problem. Audio is fine just the videos hate me.

To Floggy: thanks for the link, I'll test the video and report you.
To Kenny: what is the model of your iPod & what preset did you use?

Alice

Floggy,
we tested your link and it works!!! We can add the file to iPod 5 & 6G.
Perhaps the problem is in the preset you use, choose iPod 5G, there is such

Hi Zach A.,
could you answer the following questions:
1) what program did you use? what version? what preset?
2) what is your model of iPod and version of iTunes?
3) do you have problems with all the links or just a particular one? could you give it (them) to me?

Greetings to ALL!!!
I have found a marvelous website!
You won’t believe that in social network Vkontakte besides communication with huge amount of your friends you will find multi-million library containing free mp-3 files or videos, you can listen on-line or download whatever you like without any limitations, and believe me, there is plenty to listen to (take a look at the screen shot bellow). It is unbelievably simple and absolutely free– following the registration (ABSOLUTELY FREE) in the search field simply enter audio or video files search, and VOILA, you have found your happiness! I suppose advanced users don't need an explanation as to how files are downloaded.

Hi

This never happened to me before. I am trying to download videos from youtube to Ipod and right at the beginning of the download I get the following message " The program has not managed to create the output file location in c:|temp. Most probably you don't have enough rights to create files or folders on this drive"

I am logged in as admin on this computer. I never had this problem before. No matter on what drive or what folder I am changing the output file location to, I get the same message.

What's causing this? It looks like some type of firewall is blocking this program from writing on disk. My windows firewall is turned off.

This program worked fine until two days ago.

Any ideas why it doesn't work any more??

I did some more testing. The youtube to mp3 option works but when trying to make the youtube to ipod option write in the SAME LOCATION as the mp3 download it still doesn't work.

How can the mp3 download work but the ipod download doesn't ?
