I converting DVD to mp3. But, it seems that I need to copy the VOB file to my HD and change the extension to mpeg and then I can convert to mp3. Is it possible to directly convert the VOB files from the DVD. After all, I am only changing the extension.

We don't have such software, but I can recommend another program AVS Video Converter. It's paid (US$39)

Here is a mini guide how to convert DVD to mp3:
1. click the Browse button and select the file VIDEO_TS.IFO from your DVD (see image1)
2. click the Edit button at the top, a new window will be opened
3. click the Export audio button (see image2)
4. set output parameters (name, folder) and choose the audio format. Click Save.
