Today we’ve released new updates with minor bug fixes and improvements:

- presets for 5th generation iPods;
- FLV High Quality downloads which effect on YouTube MP3 downloads quality too;
- new MP4 High Resolution outputs for modern mobile phones like Nokia N97;
- the Genre tag support, it was always Blues before;
- fixed problems when downloading YouTube video with the ‘&’ symbol in the title.

After the last week software update we received many emails regarding so called “presets optimizing” in Free YouTube to MP3 Converter. So today we have published a newer version of this program and returned MP3 High Quality Audio output preset.

That’s not all; we have added the WAV Lossless Audio preset for people with sophisticated sense of music. Output audio will be exactly of the same quality as the original YouTube video sound track. The output files will be rather big (about 10 times bigger than 128 kbps MP3 files), but who cares about insufficient space in the Age of terabyte hard drives.

As promised today we have just released new version of all our YouTube programs:

Also we fixed several problems which prevented downloading YouTube video in some cases. So this is the must have update.

We have just finished optimization of all our free programs for netbooks. Our programs’ window dimension now fits standard notebook screen resolution, which is 1024×600. All buttons will be on your screen now.

Note: On some netbooks it’s necessary to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) before installing our software.

And now the very useful tip for all portable computer owners.
You should NEVER use a hair-drier to dry your computer keyboard after you spill any liquid onto the keyboard. The air temperature maybe so hot, that it would melt the keys and damage the entire keyboard. I’ve just killed my notebook

So never use a hair-drier with your computer and tell your friends not to use it this way!!!

All our updated YouTube download programs incorporate the “link grabber” feature. As soon as you copy a YouTube link to the clipboard it appears in the program. You do not need to copy and paste it all the time. And now you can configure the output names of downloaded files, add prefixes or postfixes, date or an original YouTube video title.

Also we redesign our programs interface slightly. We just made some buttons a little bit bigger. It will be easier to click them now.

Now there are 3 types of video available on YouTube:
- FLV normal quality;
- FLV higher quality;
- MP4 higher quality (available for iPhone users).

When you click a link below the video that says “watch in high quality”, you see FLV higher quality video. But eventually MP4 higher quality is even HIGHER than FLV higher quality. YouTube’s MP4 files encoded with more advanced codec, have a higher resolution, stereo sound and higher audio bit rate.

Several days ago we updated our software and now you can get the highest available quality video from YouTube with our tools:

Today we updated our YouTube download programs. It seems that we managed to fix a problem with disappearing output files after downloading. It happens only if you save video as MP4 files for iPod or iPhone and only with some YouTube videos which contain characters \ / : * ? ” < > | in the title.
