AMD/ATI and NVIDIA Graphics Cards Support in Converters

July 2, 2012

We officially announce entire support of AMD/ATI and NVIDIA (e. g. GeForce) graphics cards: the converters now detect video cards much better, perform prerequisites check and speed up conversion process up to several times.
Converters for PSP and iPod5 feature bug fixes related to playback on these devices.

YouTube detection algorithms have been a topic of research in the last few weeks too. We’ve accelerated the download and conversion processes, added lossless audio and Apple compatible formats support.

Is the Ati radeon HD 3850 512 mb AGP supported by the free video converter ?
When using the avi and MP4 video converter i see in the option that it detectes the Ati stream technologie and gives me the mean to enable the hardware encoding ,Still i don’t know wether it really use it , because i don’t see the load of the GPU high . But when using the Free Video to DVD converter it does not let me enabling the hardware encoding even it declares after checking that all is fine –
    -Ati tehchnologie available
    -Driver are updated
    -Codec pack is updated
    -K-lite codec is updated
Please explaine me what is this ?

Hi, Free Video to DVD Converter does not support GPU technology while Free MP4 Video Converter does. And you can see that it is used in the program (as far as I understand, you can see ot 😉 ).
