Start the *.exe file and follow the screen instructions…
You can try out this program absolutely for free within 21 days trial period without any limitations. If you'll find it useful, purchase the program for EUR 39.
To start the program go Start > All Programs > Elaborate Bytes (or SlySoft) > CloneDVD > CloneDVD.
On the first window you choose elements of the movie you wish to copy. You can copy one DVD title, for example only the main movie (the Copy DVD Titles button) or all titles including the original menu (the Clone DVD).
Also you can click the Write Existing Data button to burn a pre-copied data stored as *.iso files or DVD folder with *.vob and *.ifo files from your hard drive to a DVD.
At this time we want to make an exact copy of the original DVD, so click Clone DVD.
Click a button at the right top corner of the program window to open the DVD.
Note: You will see an error message if your DVD is copy-protected. You should use a special program (AnyDVD) to decode such movies. AnyDVD works in the background, and automatically remove the copy protection of a DVD movie as soon as it's inserted into the drive.
Click the highlighted combo box (see the picture) along the bottom of the interface to select the output size.
Select DVD-5, if you want to copy the DVD to an ordinary DVD+/-R disc or select DVD+/-R DL, if you want to copy the DVD to a Dual Layer disc. See the type of your disc on the disc box.
Now click Next.
Note: Due to its bigger capacity (8 GB DVD+/-R DL instead of 4.7 GB DVD+/-R) Dual Layer discs are more expansive.
Most movies offer various Audio and Subtitle selections, such as Languages, Subtitles, Audio encoding (Dolby AC-3, DTS), Audio properties (like the director's commentary) and Audio Channels.
On this screen you can choose audio and subtitle languages. Do not make any changes if you want to make 1:1 copy. If you want to leave only one language unselect all unnecessary check boxes.
Click Next.
Click the DVD Writer button at the right corner of the interface.
Also here you can set the temporary directory for video files.
Note: You have to have at least 5 GB of free disc space on your hard drive and 9 GB if you use Dual Layer discs for output video.
Now click on Go!
Here you can watch the progress of the transcoding and writing procedure.
After transcoding is completed CloneDVD will ask you to insert a blank DVD disc to the DVD recorder. Click Continue.
That's all! In about half an hour you will have a new DVD copy ready for your home DVD player.
