How to copy DVD to DVD using AVS DVD Copy:

Step 1. Download AVS DVD Copy

Learn how to make 1:1 copies of a Video DVD or copy the main movie only with or without special features and/or the original menu onto DVD recordable media or your hard-disk using a tool named AVS DVD Copy.

It is easy, just follow step by step instructions below.

Step 2. Launch AVS DVD Copy

CloneDVD: Main Window

To start the program go Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Burning > AVS DVD Copy.

AVS DVD Copy interface is very simple. You can make all the settings like input and output DVD paths, copy modes, languages, output disc size and the temporary folder in the same window. As soon as you are ready just click the Start copying! button to make a perfect DVD copy.

Step 3. Open Original DVD

CloneDVD: Main Window

Click the Browse button at the right top corner of the program window to open the DVD.

Step 4. Set Copy Mode and Audio Languages

CloneDVD: Select DVD Language

In the Copy Mode and Languages area in the middle of the AVS DVD Copy window you can choose elements of the movie and audio languages you wish to copy. You can copy ENTIRE DVD (including the original menu and all extra materials), the DVD content WITHOUT EXTRAS and ONLY MOVIE (all extra materials and menus will be removed).

As for languages do not make any changes if you want to make 1:1 copy. If you want to leave only one language unselect all unnecessary check boxes.

Note:AVS DVD Copy always preserves all subtitles, because of its small size.

Step 5. Set Output Path and Temp Folder

CloneDVD: Main Window

Click the first Browse button in the Select output DVD (drive or HDD folder) area to set the destination path. Here you can select:

- the same drive as the input one,

- the second DVD drive (if you have one),

- a folder on your computer hard drive.

If you select a drive, you will have to specify a temporary folder on the hard drive. Click the second Browse button for this task.

Note: If you select the same drive as the input one, AVS DVD Copy will ask you to remove the original DVD and insert a blank disc after transcoding is finished.

Step 6. Select Output Disc Type and Size

CloneDVD: Select DVD Recorder

Click the highlighted combo box (see the picture) along the bottom of the interface to select the output size.

Select Standard DVD, if you want to copy the DVD to an ordinary DVD+/-R(W) disc or select Double-Lauer DVD, if you want to copy the DVD to a Dual Layer disc.

Note: You have to have at least 5 GB of free disc space on your hard drive and 9 GB if you use Dual Layer discs for output video.

Now click on Start copying!

Step 7. Transcode and Burn DVD

Now you can watch the progress of the transcoding and writing procedure.

After transcoding is completed AVS DVD Copy will ask you to insert a blank DVD disc to the DVD recorder. Click Continue.

That’s all! In about half an hour you will have a new DVD copy ready for your home DVD player.
